Poison Bait in BS16?

BS10 and BS16 are the focal points for unusual fox deaths since June of thios year so this message from BS16 was troubling:

"Hello Terry,
I’m also a member on the BS16 wildlife group and thought you may be able help. Yesterday morning I spotted (and picked up) what I believe to be a fox poo on Clarence Avenue BS16 filled with a blue substance (colour of rat poison / slug killer). I thought you’d be the person to message as I see you’ve done some investigations of fox distribution over the years and I also have read there have been a lot of suspicious fox deaths lately. I usually don’t post on public pages, but would you recommend I share this in the local FB groups too so people are aware?
Thank you, M--------"

Initially, as we had no one to collect the scat we just assumed it looked right for organic slug pellets but then this morning the same lady was walking along Hermitage Road when she discovered this.

A plate and droppings (appear to be fox) next to it seems to indicate targetted poisoning. PM Services, the head pathologist, Bristol City Council and the Council Environmental health department have been informed and have the photographs. This could not be a risk to foxes and hedgehogs but possibly badgers and domestic pets.

Unfortunately Avon and Somerset Police appear to have no interest in the matter as they were contacted over the four fox deaths in BS4 but I heard nothing back from them.

Local wildlife and neighbourhood groups have also been told and asked members to be on the look out.
