UK National Carnivore Advisory (UKNCA)

Foxes are NOT "vermin" and the Department of the Environment Faming and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has never classified them as such and many local authorities are against "fox control"

Badgers are not disease carrying "vermin" and are protected by law. So called "Cull zones" are unscientific at best and do nothing.
Wildcats (Felis silvestris) are neither "nuisances" nor "vermin" and the same applies to feral cats. There is exaggeration in the number of wildlife feral cats are claimed to kill "by the millions" each year.
If any of these animals are unwanted on your property for whatever reason there are organisations that can humanely remove them to other areas. It ios important to remember that rabbits, rats and mice are natural foods for these animals and are excellent pest controllers that do notrequire dangerous poisons that kill other wildlife and pets to do the job.
If you have any queries please get in touch. The Advisory does not trap or provide a rescue service. The Face Book page will contain links to rescue and other bodies.
