Foxes In Singapore?

I was asked whether there had been or were foxes in Singapore. I had thought that in Colonial days there might have been fox hunting but foxes are not listed in the catalogue of Singaporean wildlife now made extinct due to pollution, continuous land grab to build and so on.

The Dhole (Cuon alpinuswas present but is considered now made extinct in Singapore and the southern forests of the Malaysian peninsula though you can see some at Singapore zoo.

The number of species endangered or that have died off in Singapore shows the truly negative effect humans have on island species especially when money is counted as far more important.
