It IsTime To Decide Whether To Continue

Since I set this blog up in 2021 with the aim to educate people on foxes and open discussion amongst rescues or those interested in wild canids I have produced 753 posts mainly with information you will not find anywhere else.

As of today those posts have been viewed by some 103,908 visitors.

Comments...2 that I deleted outright as they were personal attacks (it comes with the work) 1 criticising a post but refusing any discussion on the matter (so it may have just been a troll) and two very brief general comments. In total 5 comments covering five years.

It is not easy to just gather information and create a post. It can take hours and with the full knowledge that once posted it is almost certain someone will use the information as their own (yes, that has happened here).

Interest in The Red Papers, both unique research covering over 40 years of archival work and field study, has attracted zero attention. The only person to buy copies to send out for review or to people who cooperated is me. And out of the several hundred pounds spent on those  books and postage -not even a thank you.  David Attenborough Productions have had two copies of each book but once delivered -not a word (I assume that they do not want to rock any establishment dogma boats).

This year is my 49th of studying and researching foxes and wild canids. Financially it has broken me since absolutely no one, not even the EU, wants to fund fox research (and, yes, I have tried).  The Fox Death PM Project I instigated and which took up six years of my life was suppressed (that is recorded in a previous post) with some very nasty tactics.

I had thought at one point of uploading papers to Research Gate, however, despite working. with many organisations and almost five decades of study it seems that I am "not one of the club"

Is it worth continuing?   That is a serious question I am debating.
