After the response from Bristol City Council (run by the Green Party) I sent a follow up and guess what the response was?
There wasn't one. Not from either three of the councillors which included the deputy leader of BCC. The communications were not private and you can find the story here

It needs to be noted that only foxes reported are logged and the number logged in likely far lower than the real losses. We also do not include (obviously) the number of cubs lost when a pregnant vixen is killed and aborts. The same applies with badgers and we have already had one heavily pregnant one lost this year. And while the Green Party continues to run Bristol City Council and proudly boasting of the City's rich environment and wildlife including its mammals such as otters and the foxes for which the City in renowned and attracts many photographers it still seeks to build on Green Spaces,m attract development exactly as the Labour led council did.
Councillor Martin Fodor:
"I’m sorry it’s not what we want to see but in our cross party committees we’re currently dependent on finding ways to progress our ambitions within all the current constraints and budget problems we have inherited. What I can promise is that if any opportunities appear to do something I shall look at them and if we can then persuade the committee to agree we can progress some projects. We’re also pressing he government to follow through with the enhanced protections the propose Climate and Nature Bill would bring since statutory obligations should lead to better funding."!
How many years have I been hearing this from Labour and now Green controlled BCC? Let's look at The Green Party item 3 of "Our Core Values":
- Humankind depends on the diversity of the natural world for its existence. We do not believe that other species are expendable.
